Chilean Government, Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture is the State institution responsible for promoting, guiding and coordinating the agricultural and forestry activity of the country. The Minagri aims to reduce social inequality by strengthening and expanding the scope of promotion instruments, primarily in favor of family and rural agriculture.

INFOR · Instituto Forestal

The Instituto Forestal is Chiles Technological Forest Research Institute, attached to the Ministry of Agriculture. It was born in 1961 as an FAO Project and is officially created by the Government in 1965. Its mission is to contribute to Chilean forestry development, promoting the sustainable use of forest ecosystems for the benefit of society, through the creation and transfer of knowledge, of innovative products and services of excellence and of relevant and timely forestry information for decision makers.

Center for Climate and Resilience Research

The Climate and Resilience Science Center (CR) 2 is a Fondap center of excellence sponsored by the University of Chile and in partnership with the Universidad Austral and Universidad de Concepción. Its objective is to study climate science in Chile in an interdisciplinary way to improve the understanding of the system and the search for ways to acquire resilience.

FORECOS Native Forest Center Foundation

It is a Non-Profit Organization and its general objective is the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage associated with it, and biodiversity, with special emphasis on forest ecosystems. It is a group of scientific excellence dedicated to the study of forest ecosystem services, environmental education, science diffusion, conservation, restoration, ecosystem protection and land stewardship.
