We are pleased to announce a fee-Waiver Program
intended to facilitate participation of professional
and early career scientist in our conference
- Early career professional: A person who received their most recent professional title after January 1st, 2017.
- Early career scientists: individuals enrolled in an academic program (i.e., students) or those who obtained their most recent academic degree (Bachelor, Master, Ph.D.) after January 1st, 2017.
The Steering Committee will select the recipients of the fee-waiver. The criteria for selection include demonstrated financial need, scientific merit (based on motivations and how you plan to cover the rest of the costs), and membership in a minority or under-served groups.
Interested individuals in the fee-waiver opportunity must apply on-line by April 30, 2017. Decisions will be communicated by June 15, 2018.
Fee waivers are valid only for the successful applicant and may not be transferred to another participant. The applicants must have an accepted abstract in F&W2018 as an author.
Additionally, IUFRO through its Special Programme for Development of Capacities (SPDC) will sponsor 3 scientists. The eligibility criteria are described at: https://www.iufro.org/science/special/spdc/sap/
